• Dr.Gibson served as Senior Pastor of local churches for more than 40 years.
• He is certified as a counselor by the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors and The International Association of Biblical Counselors
• He is a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
• Co-founder, Higher Ground Ministry a local church sponsored support group for the addicted and the family. This group ministered to the addicted by meeting weekly for more than 16 years. 

While serving as Senior Pastor for more than 35 years at Calvary Baptist Church in Darien, CT, He established a ministry in Biblical Counseling that has served a large number of  people per week from within and outside the congregation. Issues include marital, emotional, substance abuse and other problems.

• He served as chairman of the Social Service Commission Chaplain of the Darien Fire Department, Member of the Spiritual Care Committee of Stamford Hospital, Member of Salvation Army Service Unit, Chairman of the Spiritual Care Advisory Committee of Norwalk Hospital, Chairman of the Child Evangelism Fellowship of CT state board and Chaplain intern at Norwalk Hospital.

Dr.Gibson earned a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Counseling, at Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia  PA.,  A Master of Divinity, New York Theological Seminary, New York  NY and a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Education, Columbia International University, Columbia SC.

He has twenty-four hours of studies in Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, and History, Queens College,  Jamaica NY 1960-1964

He has nine years of Studies in Biblical Counseling, Summer Institute of Counseling Studies, Christian Counseling And Educational Foundation, Glenside PA  1980-1989

He attended the Living Faith and Changing Lives Seminars, Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation, Glenside PA 
1994-Present

He has studies in addiction treatment at the Connecticut Center for Addiction Studies- Weathersfield, CT.
