Dr. Herts is a Clinical Psychologist licensed in the state of Virginia and a member of the American Psychological Association. He holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.), a Master's degree in Counseling (M.Ed.), and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology (M.A.). He has a broad range of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. He has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, and has extensive experience with military members and their families, victims of trauma, depression, anxiety, as well as when chronic illness impacts emotional states. Dr. Herts has also worked as a Behavioral Health Consultant and Trainer as a contractor for the USAF, and supported a variety of clinics including Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Women's Health, and Pediatrics.

Dr. Herts is the husband of a retired USAF Colonel and practicing physician. He is also the proud father of three wonderful school-age children.
